Glo-Ball T1 Table Lamp

A robust mouth-blown glass sphere is supported by a thin aluminum stem in Jasper Morrison’s Glo-Ball T1 Table Lamp. Produced by Flos, the table lamp is a culmination of the prolific designer’s philosophies of “super normal” design and minimalism.

For Morrison, an object should eschew the superfluous and function in the most simple, rational manner. Created by highly skilled craftsmen, the table lamp’s opaline glass diffuser is externally acid-etched and flashed for a pristine surface that evenly diffuses warm, glowing light. The slender aluminum stem is visually light, giving the glass sphere the appearance of floating on its own.
